a few summer seconds
Sometimes life is too much.
I walk by a schoolyard filled with clovers,
and
the sun is setting close to 8 o'clock,
and
an ant mound is spilling over on the sidewalk,
and
children are kicking a ball in the empty lot,
and
I pass a southern magnolia with a few blooms left,
and
and
and
and
and
I
just
take
it
all
in.
